In the sonic cartoons old OR new not once do they even mention Christianity. In their off time they're usually out having fun running around or relaxing... why not show Sonic and friends in church on Sunday or even something more subtle like a holy Bible among Sonic's items in his home? Also, challenge them to draw something that's not in that art style.
