I've thought asbout trying to learn how to code and program but I don't know if I have the ability or proclivities towarding being a good programmer. I know next to nothing about computers or programming at all and I've never been that good with math. What kind of person should you be to even consider taking on learning a programming language?

You could start by being actually interested and not such an emo crybaby.

Being a programmer isn't equivalent to being a computer scientist. If you want to be useful or employed in this field then you should plan on learning a lot of theory and doing a lot of math. Otherwise there's nothing stopping you from learning some baby language like Python and writing programs for your own amusement.

What is it exactly you want to do with your skills? Are you trying to make a game? Do you have an idea for a software product you want to sell? Are you learning for your own amusement?

What exactly do you want to code?
