I'd like to know how I can make a script that displays the number of people who liked a facebook page. Reason is, I wanna be sure to be the 1000th liker of a band to win some free tickets.

Wouldn't the Facebook developer site be able to help you out with this? Also, pleny of websites have that Facebook Like button on them with a counter showing how many people clicked it to display their like.

Find a script that will parse the HTML for certain phrases (find the HTML that contains the number of likes) and have it set to check every few minutes (or seconds) and tell you when it's at like 998 or so and then let you like it. Easy, peasy.
