alright i have a question here . i have a 50inch full hd plasma tv and its currently linked up to my pc but my pc isnt that good and my graphics card can only support a dvi to hdmi cable which means i get the picture but the sound comes from the pc . i only watch series and movies in hd resolution but on the tv i often get weird "lines" along the screen especially when rapid movement is happening and i assume that is because my computer just doesnt do that well so i was considering buying a ps3 which has a blu ray player . now my real question is if it is possible or makes sense to buy a ps3 and download hd movies and put them on a usb stick or external harddrive and plug it into my ps3 to play the movies on the tv from my ps3 so does anyone see a problem with my plan ?

PS3 only supports FAT32 and with FAT32 the file size limit is around 4GB, so watching HD movies from an external harddrive isn't an option because most 720p movies are between 4 and 8GB.

Why not build your own HTPC?
