Six years ago I made this for a Photoshop class. At the end of the semester they wipe the computers to make room on the HD for the next batch of students. Luckily I had the sense to save lossless copies of my work for archiving. At the time I just went with bmp because I knew it wasn't compressed, and therefore should't effect the quality. So I put them into a zip archive and it sat on my personal HD for 3 years.

Over that time, my drive had gotten really full, so I started looking for ways to save space. I found I could convert the bitmaps to png and it reduced the size of the archive by 20MB. It wasn't until later after I had deleted the original files from disk that I found out the archive had gotten corrupted when writing this file.

So now I'm kind of bored and want to remake the cover, but it was done using mostly stock photos from Adobe; a service they've discontinued. Since I don't have the catalog numbers I can't really look the photos up from other sources very easily.

So if you have some free time and don't mind helping me out, see if you can find the orange lighting, cloudy sky, or grim reaper from the attached image.

*The lighting is blended over the clouds, but I believe the original lighting had orange clouds in it.
*The moon is (fairly poorly) added in by erasing the clouds, so it's not part of the original.
*The grim reaper, which will be the hardest due to lack of visiual comparison, was holding a sickle. Not a typical reaper one though, it was more like the handheld wheat sickles which are notoriously depicted in association with Communism. I think it was actually handing from a chain which was held in both hands, with a lot of extra length forming a parabola curve between them. The cloak itself looked similar to a black KKK cloak, but with a traditional open-fronted hood (partially shown in the attachment). The face was completely obscured in shadow.
*The back also had a silhouette of a person screaming into a corded telephone in front a window with closed Venetian blinds. (This is completely missing from the recovered file though.)
*The "Good Times Gone" sign was also a stock photo, but I'm pretty sure I still have that saved elsewhere.

Yes, it's based on a fictional emo band. I knew my style was going to come off as "edgy goffik teen" so I figured I might as well play it up.

Well, my description was a little off, but I managed to find it: http://www.corbisimages.com/stock-photo/royalty-free/42-25747888/the-grim-reaper
tineye returns to hits which are larger, but they both have significant watermarking. :/

Awesome! I found the original bitmap file on an old flashdrive I thought I'd lost.
