Possible?

Anybody heard anything about this? I know its been done on Nintendo DS, and some other shit. I've got an extra android touchscreen phone that I want to fuck around with.

Yes, it's possible because Inferno has an ARM version and can run on top of Linux/Android. But to run it on bare metal, you'd need to look around for drivers or even write them yourself.

Inferno is interesting in that you don't necessarily need the whole system. I could be wrong here, but I understand the real selling point is the 9P2000 protocol. So, depending on what you're trying to do, maybe just implement the protocol on top of Android, iOS, or WebOS (or what-have-you). Then you can contact an Inferno server at home or some-such.

Inferno really doesn't seem to be an OS that is meant to be used standalone, anyway. It seems like it's really meant to connect to other Inferno nodes to perform some service.
