Let's talk mobile devices. iOS, Android, J2ME, Maemo/Meego, etc. What mobile platform do you like to hack on, and what do you have to deal with to get there? I'm not talking about cracking stuff, just projects where you like to screw around and build or experiment. Android is said to be the most hackable, but J2ME still has the largest distribution, which presumably translates into support like libraries and such. iOS keeps you to C or Objective-C (which isn't that bad), and Maemo is just Linux under the hood.

What are your preferences?

I have an iPhone (it was a gift; far from my tool of choice) and a Nexus One. The iPhone isn't even jailbroken (I'm not familiar with the platform and am rather busy to learn something that I'm never going to get much use out of), but the Droid's heavily modded both in terms of software and in hardware. I'll post photos, specs and a list of modifications, and possibly some source, when I get to my own computer.

Has anyone been playing with WebOS? HP was going on about how integrated WebOS is going to be across their product lines. That's got to promise some potential (in both the white hat and black hat sense)
