>“What if I do all my reading on the web not so much because the way I read has changed, i.e. I’m just seeking convenience, but because the way I THINK has changed?
I concur. The more I'm on the internet, the less I read. When I do sit down to read, it's for short 20-40 page bursts, instead of the afternoons I used to spend reading entire books. It's like the way I think has become compressed, so I can't take in all the information in a book in one sitting anymore.
It's highly disturbing.
