Credited with fusing East (Muslim East) and West. First Muslim composer in the western sense. Did a lot actually, surprised he isn't at least on the Schütz level of "ask a random person and they'll know who your talking about".



You can also have this as general Classical thread. Classical in the everything that isn't popular music sense. Classical in the not pop, rock, country-western, electronica vel cetera sense.

I myself am huge fan of the Baroque, for what it matters.
