I just saw "Fright Night" at the local art house theater. It's not a particularly scary film, but it was and still is fun to watch.

About a week ago I downloaded the trailer for the 2011 remake starring Colin Farrell. I don't know, man. The trailer didn't make the film seem all that compelling. The way the trailer portayed it, it almost seemed like the vampire character was just supernatural white trash. With the 80s version, at least you had something charismatic to work with.

Movies have kind of gone sour this last decade.
