I just got back from watching "The Other F Word". I didn't go in with big expectations, but it turned out to be quite good.

The film's a documentary on various punk icons; how they got started, when they became dads, the inevitable aftermath and so on. Not sappy, but sometimes a little heavy. Many of them had bad childhoods and decided to give their kids the life they never had themselves. It primarily followed Jim Lindberg of Pennywise as he wrestled with touring and fatherhood, and his eventual decision to leave the band and focus on his kids.

So, anyway, if you have the chance to check it out (theatres, pirate bay, what-have-you), it's worth a look.

Why the fuck is Rise Against included in there?

Probably because they're friends with Fat Mike.

Tim McIlrath was interviewed for the film by a round-about course of events. According to the filmmakers, they really wanted Jim Lindberg, but he kept pushing them off because they wanted to film him at home with his family.

After trying to get in contact with him for a bit, they managed to get a referral to another punk singer father (can't remember who). This led to referrals to other punk dads (including Tim McIlrath), which eventually led back to Jim Lindberg letting them into his home.
