This board is getting more traffic than /mtv/, so I'm putting this here.

I just got back from seeing the film 'Bellflower' over at the local indie movie theater place. It's really intense. I can't even begin to get into the story, because it's basically insane.

What's more, the filmmakers are kind of film hardware hackers. The director at least spends his time making custom cameras, and shot the film on three custom cameras made using vintage parts. Gives the film a nice unsettling color. They also customized a muscle car with a custom dash filled with doodads and a pair of exhaust pipes popping out the top of the trunk. The pipes are modified flamethrowers. Also in the film, there was a car that had the glove compartment customized with a spigot that poured out whiskey.

The film is pretty intense, and the fact they made all this stuff is pretty cool. The manager of the theater came out and said to tell everyone to see the film so that the filmmakers could turn a profit, and I pretty much agreed. That's why I made this post.

tl;dr: Go see the film Bellflower. It's good.
