I think game of thrones is the best TV series I have ever seen. Are the song of ice and fire books as good as the show? Oh, and without spoiling, why the hell aren't the night's watch recruiting like crazy? All the crazy monsters are waking up.

...and YES methinks the book are very enjoyable. I posted the first 4 as .pdf files in the "Cosmopolis" thread on /lit/. The first season is super faithful to the books, but the second season is more like 70% faithful.
