Sorry for the late respond:
Windows can't detect ext2/3/4/swap filesystems, only NTFS and FAT32 (aka it can't see Ubuntu).
Sounds like a failed kernel update. Get Ubuntu 11.04 tomorrow and reinstall into the old spot. Then, tell me what happens next.

Yeah, I know that. Windows Explorer can't see nix file systems, but the partitions should still show up on Disk Management. And they had, before yesterday. Now the partitions are absented, and they aren't listed as free space either.

Maybe there's something wrong with the partition table.

Ok then.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind when I have Ubuntu running again.

Hmmm, something must have really fucked up your partition table. I mean, it deleted your MBR and everything. You should probably give it a complete partition table rewrite on GParted (write it to MSDOS).

Shit, man. GParted shows my whole disk as unallocated.

Never had any fucking problems like this. Usually, it's just software problems here and there. How's the status now?

I've just finished formatting the disk and reinstalling XP.

Got all the space back.

Will do the partitioning and setting up Ubuntu when I get home from school.

Everything is working fine now.

Unity sucks though.

So I did some digging around and the problem is that Ubuntu can't load the snapshot from an encrypted swap (which is the default if you choose to encrypt your home folder during installation).

I removed the encrypted swap, then create another swap using the same partition but Resume still didn't work, so I did another reinstall and this time didn't choose to encrypt the home folder, and now Hibernation-Resume work fine.

Oh great news, didn't think of encrypted home folder.
