BAM!
Your house burns down, your job is outsourced to India, your significant other (and any applicable spawn) haul ass to mexico in your car, all of your family are stricken by a strange genetic malformity that skipped your lucky ass, and your dog gets killed by a mountain lion (whatever), and your wallet spontaneously combusts. Basically, you ain't got shit, but the clothes your wearing. Period. No cellphone, no credit card...

Being the text-book hobo you now are, without a worldly possession, how do you make it back to a stable, normal life with financial stability and without want for sustenance, housing, etc.? We can assume the current conditions of your local economy as a factor, to include unemployment rates, average cost of living, and that kinda shit.

Who knows what can happen, but it's a good idea to theorize and plan for bad shit like this (well, maybe not as extreme, but...), these situations are hard to think clearly in.

I'll go first:
[1}Find someplace to squat that isnt frequented by cops, or other homeless fucks. desperate people do desperate things, and it would be best to distance yourself from those attitudes and behaviors in general.

[2} Look for immediate employment (if rudimentary), even if its cleaning gas station bathrooms for five bucks from the clerk. Hide your money in your underwear. stay at it all day, your gonna need some basic supplies.

[3} Buy a change of clothes, and a backpack from salvation army or some place like that. probably like 25 bucks total. also, stock up on ramen noodles and a jar of peanut butter. another 5 bucks. yes you can eat them dry. try to avoid the grocery cart thing. dont want to look like a hobo, as it invites harrassment from pigs. also, if possible, get a knife or something from a pawn shop. another 10 bucks. the safety of your sleeping spot might be questionable, so plan for the worst.

[4} .....

Yeah, it wouldnt be easy but basically you would have to realize that creature comforts are out the window. Get legal identification (remember, wallet combustion?), if you hope to get anywhere again. Nobodies gonna rent to a guy without ID, and nobody actually hires that guy either.

Being 20 years old and living in London, I can just go to Centrepoint. A charity that helps homeless young people. They will feed me, give me a place to stay and help me get back into work/place of my own. You can stay with them for nywhere between 1 night and 2 years, totally free. It's an amazing charity.
