ITT: Hooch. Making it strong, making it (somewhat) palatable, making it on the sly. Tips, tricks, and tales of adventure.

Everyone should make this shit (and drink it) at least once in their life. It's an experience, that's for sure. Plus, and you'll appreciate this if you're a broke college student like me, it's cheap. If done well, it's even tasty. Mind you, it's nothing to toast your wedding by, but it's not entirely horrid, either.

Protip: Use a goddamn breather valve. If you don't want mold in your hooch (and you don't, unless you fancy gross hooch that can make you ill), you'd better have a way of letting the CO2 out without letting the normal air in. They're not hard to make. I'll write some instructions if anyone's interested.

Protip2: For the love of Christ, make sure your shit's clean. Otherwise, you're bound for Moldsville, Dickland with no return ticket.
