How do you break someones mind and make it your own?

1. Develop a thorough understanding of the reality that you want your mark to perceive. Be as clear and comprehensive as possible in this description. Write it out and examine it for inconsistencies.

2. Examine their current reality. Gather information on their perceptions and make evidence-based inferences using logic, information and when necessary reasonable assumptions when you are unclear. Test these assumptions as much as possible.

3. Develop a model that matches the reality you wish to implement with the perceptions of your mark. Use an approach similar to what is taken in grounded theory research as you are essentially conducting a qualitative study on an individual in understanding these things about them within the context of adjusting and aligning their perceptions to meet what you want them to meet. In this approach you simply code all your notes and writings. You then categorize these codes. When you do this, you match up their current perception with what you wish to adjust it to, from this you begin to formulate strategy.

4. You use similarities in current and desired perceptions to your advantage. Use reinforcements to encourage a shift in perception. Also, constantly take notes on the mark's changes and make sure that changes to not knock other things out of alignment. If so, this must be addressed. It is obvious to say that subtlety is requisite. Don't be ham-fisted with this and take your time. Do your best with the resources at your disposal.

5. After continuous alignment, your mark will reach the point where they now have perceptions of the world that you want them to have.

Don't sweat it too much, it can be inconsistant and imperfect and achieve the same results (e.g. The Bible).
