No. 807
There was an old game called "Alone in the Dark". It's not the same as the more modern detective horror game. The older one was made by Atari, or perhaps Activision.
Anyway, the player is in a haunted mansion which is pitch black. The player can only see what's going on when a torch is being used, and those burn out after a while.
There was also an old TRS-80 game called "The Dungeon of Daggorath". There were only four levels, going down. Naturally, they got harder the further one went.
So here's the concept. Four people are stuck in a haunted hotel. There's one more floor up, two more down, and a basement. The player can only take one of these people out of the room. Different types of weapons and artifacts will be available to the player depending on the person that is picked. If the person dies, the player picks a new person from the room.
In all cases, the player must constantly find working flashlights, batteries, matches, anything to provide light. Otherwise everything can see the player, but the player can't see anything. The goal is to either escape the building or get to the basement and defeat the monster that is controlling the hotel.
Since making a full-fledged game is time consuming, I thought I'd make an interactive fiction of it instead. I don't know if I'd ever get around to it, though
